Prior to becoming a Realtor®, I spent 15+ years working freelance in the computer industry doing every thing from operating an online networking service to designing and developing corporate websites. But after 15+ years of staring at the computer screen, I decided it was time to get outside and see what else the world had to offer. I still enjoy working with computers, but now I use my internet expertise to help folks like you buy and sell properties.

Now that I am a Realtor®, I cannot imagine doing anything else. I absolutely love what I do. To me, there is no greater satisfaction than helping someone's dream come true. I value the trust my clients have in me and approach every transaction as if it were my own. Being entrusted with someone's most valuable investment is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. I am committed to my clients and pledge to give them nothing but my best.

I am an active member of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), Tennessee Association of Realtors® (TAR), Central West Tennessee Association of Realtors® (CWTAR), and the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. I began my real estate career by attending real estate training at TREES (Tennessee Real Estate Educational System). In addition, I take continuing education courses to be better informed of all the intricacies of buying and selling real estate.

Listed below are a few of the many points that separate me from other real estate agents:

• 15+ years working in various Internet related fields. My knowledge of marketing your home on the Internet can get your home exposed to more potential buyers than a typical real estate agent.
• I have my own website (www.MarkGivens.com), which I developed and maintain, and is used exclusively to promote my real estate services and the homes I list. Most other agents, if they have a website at all, do not have a website they have 100% control over.
• I have a mobile website located at m.MarkGivens.com for cell phone and other wifi devices. Having this mobile site available to property buyers is a big advantage. As far as I know, I am the only Realtor® in the area that offers a mobile website to market and promote properties.
• I have the ability and resources to add as many pictures as desired of my listings to my website. In addition, I place all pictures, videos, and more on a DVD to distribute to potential buyers.
• I will develop a website specifically for your home using your street address for the domain name. The majority of real estate agents do not offer this service.
• I will always place the maximum number of photos allowed in the Multiple Listing Service. Many agents will add less than the maximum, which can inhibit the number of inquiries you receive on your home.
• I will produce a virtual tour of your home. Homes that have virtual tours are 50% more likely to get clicked on than those that offer photos only. Not all real estate agents offer virtual tours.
• I am a full-time agent, available 24/7 literally. I have email and voice communications with me 24 hours each and every day.
• I will always respond to your questions in a timely manner and will communicate with you by voice at least twice per week to make sure we are on the right path to selling your home.
• I use the latest updated legal forms. If you interview other agents, ask them for a blank copy of a Purchase and Sale Agreement or any other legal form, then look at the bottom and see what the copyright date is. If the date printed isn't 2009, the agent is not looking out for your best interest.
• I use the latest real estate tools to help sell your home. With my 15+ years of Internet experience, I know which tools are beneficial and which tools are just fluff, and I know how to use them efficiently to sell your home faster, and for more money. In this day and time, your real estate agent must know how to use the many tools available to them on the computer and Internet – sadly, most do not.
• I use a service called Voicepad, which allows potential buyers to call a special number to listen to a customized message about the property. This special number is displayed on the yard sign and other forms of advertising media.
• I have lived in the Jackson area for a total of nine years. I know the area, the housing market, and a lot of folks in the real estate business.
• I am a member of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. If you interview other real estate agents, the majority of them will not be a member of the Chamber. All businesses that are serious about their business are members of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. I am serious about my business as a REALTOR®.
